The Color Blue
Today's photo inspiration is "the color blue". This is a rather broad concept that can be interpreted many different ways. Be creative!
Pictures of the ocean and the sky are obvious choices. Your favorite blue sweater. Blue jeans. Blue M&Ms. Or maybe this would be a good time to try out a blue color filter. You could also try editing a photo into black and white except for one blue element. For a tutorial on how to achieve this effect, see Mono, with a Dash of Colour.

Self-Portrait
Today's photo idea is a self-portrait. This shot is almost a right of passage for all photographers and is often one of the first pictures taken after a new DSLR camera purchase. It is also a popular choice for buddy icons/avatars for photographers on sites like Flickr. So point that camera at the mirror and flash away!

Valentine’s Day Candy
Today is Valentine's Day so love is in the air. V-Day usually brings to mind images of romantic candle-lit dinners, flowers, chocolate, and candy. Today's photo idea is to take a picture of Valentine's Day candy.
There are many types of Valentine's Day candy to choose from. One option is the traditional, big, red, heart-shaped box of chocolates. Sweethearts are another popular choice that can make for a cute picture. Try scattering them around haphazardly or artfully arranging them into a shape like a heart. For the more ambitious, you could try to Photoshop in your own personal messages on the candy.
